Model Life Grant Agreement 2019

i) Nature and Biodiversity – The Environment sub-program funds conservation projects, particularly in the areas of biodiversity, habitats and species. It awards best practices, pilot projects and demonstration projects to help implement EU bird and habitat guidelines, the EU`s Biodiversity Strategy for 2020, and the development, implementation and management of the Natura 2000 network. Projects are co-financed up to 60%. The co-financing rate can reach 75% if at least half of the estimated cost of the project is spent on measures to improve the conservation status of priority habitats or species listed in the EU Bird and Habitat Guidelines. iii) Environmental policy and information – The programme supports projects in the areas of awareness, environmental training and capacity building, compliance with legislation and enforcement, knowledge development and public and stakeholder participation. It co-finances grants for information, awareness and dissemination projects to promote environmental awareness. These include platforms for cooperation and the exchange of knowledge on sustainable environmental solutions and practices. The program offers action grants for pilot and demonstration projects for the development, development and demonstration of political or management approaches. It also includes the development and demonstration of innovative technologies, the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of EU environmental policy and legislation, as well as best practices and solutions. If you have your headquarters outside the EU, you can, as an associate beneficiary, contribute to a project by taking the necessary steps to achieve the EU`s environmental or climate objectives.

Applicants and recipients in the UK will continue to receive LIFE funding for the duration of the LIFE 2014-2020 scholarships, even after the end of the transitional period.
